During the Thanksgiving holiday I was walking through the parking lot headed into the grocery store. I see this guy staring but I thought nothing of it, because I was focused on the list of things I needed to purchase. I see him again within the store, so I smiled, said hello and continued on my way.
Now I’m walking to my car and there is this guy AGAIN!! As he began to run toward me…I began to get my pepper spray ready for him. When he approached me he blurts out “Girl your hair has swagger! Sorry for staring, but your twists were bouncing all over place and your hair is so shiny.” I laughed and thanked him for the compliment, and then both went on our way.
So my question to you ladies….. Does your hair have swagger? Are you rock’n your style (long or short) with confidence? Share your hair compliments, I would love to hear them.
[Hair Swagger: Healthy, shiny hair, long or short that is rock'd with confidence.]
Peace and Love,

Examine Your Ways!
"Let us examine our ways." Lamentations 3:40 NIV
A guy rushed into a service station one day and asked the manager if he'd a pay phone. The manager nodded, "Sure, over there." The guy inserted a couple of coins, dialed and waited for an answer. Finally someone came on the line. "Uh, sir," he said in a deep voice, "could you use an honest, hard-working young man?"
The station manager couldn't help overhearing the question. After a moment or two the guy said, "Oh, you already have an honest, hard-working young man? Well, okay. Thanks all the same." A broad smile stretched across his face. He hung up the phone and started back to his car, obviously elated.
"Hey, just a minute," the station manager said, "I couldn't help but hear your conversation. Why are you so happy? I thought the man said he already had someone and didn't need you?" The guy smiled. "Well, you see, I am that honest, hard-working young man. I was just checking up on myself!"
If you're serious about walking with God, examine yourself regularly. Are you praying, reading God's Word and renewing your mind daily? How about your attitudes? Are they slipping? Your attitudes send a signal before you've said a word.
They're like traffic lights. Sometimes they flash red, which means 'stop, don't get in my way, I'm too busy to love, help, or care.' Sometimes they flash yellow, which means 'I'm touchy and out-of-sorts, I could go either way.'
Sometimes they flash green, which means, 'Let's go, I'm with you, you can count on me.' The Bible says, "Let us examine our ways...and...return to the Lord."
What needs to be examined regularly? "Our ways!"

Bloggers Busted By Courts!
Have you ever thought about leaving an anonymous note on someones blog, thinking "Ha Ha - they'll never know"? Well you better think twice, as there are always a trail of crumbs left behind.
Do you ever wonder how people get away with some of the things they say online? The Wild West that was the Web is coming under the scrutiny of the courts more and more. In two recent rulings, the courts busted two bloggers for defamatory statements, even though they were posted anonymously or under pseudonyms. Learn what’s being said by the bloggers and the courts. H1N1 – To Take or Not To Take???

There has been a lot of press about the H1N1 vaccine. As the manufactures ship the vaccinations across the country, many people are debating whether or not to get the swine flu vaccine. The CDC has recommended that certain groups of the population receive the 2009 H1N1 vaccine as it becomes available. These target groups include pregnant women, people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age, healthcare and emergency medical services personnel, persons between the ages of 6 months and 24 years old, and people ages of 25 through 64 years of age who are at higher risk for 2009 H1N1 because of chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems.
I would like to suggest that everyone PLEASE - PLEASE - Do Your Research. As Side-effects can occur with any vaccine; I have not heard enough positive feedback to make me consider getting the vaccine. Many of the H1N1 deaths, according to news reports, were people who had pre-existing illnesses. According to Pew's release, the most often stated reason (given by 35 percent of those who would skip the vaccine) is that it is "too risky/new/Not tested."
Below is the link to the CDC (Center of Disease and Control) and also a YouTube video that I feel everyone should view.

The Holy Spirit Empowers Believers
Read Luke 24:26-52
Our heavenly Father has called us to live a supernatural life---one that is contrary to the world's thinking. In our own strength, it is hard to say no to ungodliness because our flesh yearns to say yes. To live the Lord's way takes His divine power. In order to draw on His strength, we need to develop attitudes of humility, trust and perseverance.
God opposes the proud, who think, I can do this myself (James 4:6). He pours out out His strength to the ones who know that they cannot accomplish the goal but believe that He can do so through them. The Lord wants us to trust Him. He may at times ask us to remain in an uncomfortable situation or take on a task that seems far beyond our capability. In either circumstance, relying on Him will bring us the inner fortitude to choose His way.
When we feel too weak to resist temptation or too fearful to pursue the Lord's plan, we must persevere in prayer. That will draw us closer to Him, build our faith, and invite Him to work His will in and through us. Then as we praise our Father for His almighty nature, proclaim His sufficiency for every circumstance, and declare His goodness, His Spirit will help us move past our weaknesses and fears to place of strength.
Today the body of Christ is experiencing a lack of spiritual power. Believers have a diminishing influence on our culture as our lives often reflect the world's values. To turn this around, we need to cooperate with the sanctifying work of the Spirit. He will empower us when do.

Dr. Stanley believes that: "Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned to me by the Lord Jesus--the work of telling others the Good News about God's mighty kindness and love" (Acts 20:24)
